The Pivot Arts Festival is a ten-day celebration of innovative performance that contributes to the vibrancy of the Edgewater and Uptown neighborhoods. 2016 marks our fourth year of the festival and we are pleased to present a range of established innovators such as the Neo-Futurists and the Hypocrites alongside up-and-coming groups like South Side Sailor Scouts. Plus our tradition of Ice Cream and Improv lives on with Storytown Improv at Lickity Split Custard & Sweets.
The festival also presents an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate our common humanity through the arts. The Festival Launch on June 2 includes a wine tasting, dinner and performance so you can mingle, network and see a show. The free “Celebrate Community!” Parade on June 4 is intended to bring people together who may live side by side but never meet. There will be large-scale puppets, performances, CircEsteem, and an opportunity for kids to make puppets at the event.
