PRODUCTION MANAGER:
Pivot Arts is hiring a Production Manager (PM) for the Pivot Arts Festival (festival runs June 1-11, 2017 at various locations throughout Edgewater and Uptown). The PM must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to manage multiple events, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. The PM serves as the technical liaison between artists, venues and Pivot Arts staff. PM responsibilities include managing the festival calendar including organizing the tech schedule with artists and venues; creating a shared contact list for companies & venues; working with artists to meet their technical needs while staying within the festival budget; hiring necessary stage management or tech staff (in consultation with Producer) and making certain there is a tech representative at all rehearsals/performances as well as necessary volunteers for load-in/strike; working within budget to rent any necessary equipment to outfit spaces. The PM will begin on a very part-time basis in March 2017 to coordinate between artists and venues. Weekly production meetings with Pivot Arts staff start in April. The PM must be available during the duration of May 30 – June 12 to oversee any tech rehearsals, load-in/strike and other needs.

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER/MARKETING MANAGER:
Pivot Arts is searching for a part-time Associate Producer (AP) who will oversee Pivot Arts’ spring program marketing and forge new relationships with sponsors. The AP manages the company’s digital marketing strategy, distribution of print materials, and box office. The AP should be skilled with social media platforms, able to make basic website updates in WordPress, and will manage sales in box office website. In addition, the AP oversees and manages box office volunteers as well as distribution of postcards, posters and brochures. The AP will forge and implement collaborative marketing strategies with participating festival companies and artists. In addition, the AP assists with sponsorship initiatives for the June festival by securing sponsorships, auction items and marketing the fundraiser event. This position requires a highly organized and reliable “go-getter” with strong communication and people skills. The AP must be able to meet deadlines, work in a collaborative environment and manage volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and work with top tier Chicago theater and dance companies who will participate in the festival. The AP reports to Pivot Arts Director. This is a part-time, seasonal position from March 1 – June 12. Start date can be flexible.
