Writer, director, and theatrical storyteller, Faith Hart, pursues work that centers community,  service and labor, and the many ways our world is connected. On Saturday, June 10 at 5 p.m., explore the embodiment of these themes in Chicago as Faith leads us through MAINTENANCE, a site-specific walking tour and narrative experience centering the untold stories and labor of sanitation workers. This performance examines the very notion of disposability, spurring consciousness around our responsibility for the waste we create and those who maintain it. Audiences are invited to follow the route of GARBAGE MAN – a composite of many real sanitation workers from adapted source texts – and TRASH PROPHETESS, an ethereal oracle who accompanies him along the way. Performed by Kamari Saxon and Gráinne Ortlieb. Check in with the box office in the Edge Theater lobby at 5451 N. Broadway Street and the experience will take off from there at 5pm.
