MARKETING MANAGER POSITION FOR SRPING PROJECT

Pivot Arts amplifies adventurous artists by creating and presenting contemporary, forward-thinking works across performance genres. This spring we are creating a collaborative work, The Memory Place, which performs June 1 – 11. We are searching for a Marketing Manager (MM) to begin work late March/early April thru mid-June. This is a part-time, seasonal and contract position and averages about 15-20 hours a week. Must have daytime availability as well as availability for evening performances in June.

The MM manages the company’s digital marketing strategy including social media and website; distribution of print materials; and oversees box office. The MM should be skilled with social media platforms, able to make basic website updates in WordPress, and create digital content for social media and our website. The MM will also set up ticketing and manage virtual sales in box office website. In addition, the MM helps recruit and manage box office volunteers as well as distribution of postcards, posters and brochures.

This position requires a highly organized and reliable “go-getter” with strong communication, written, and people skills. The MM must be able to meet deadlines, work in a collaborative environment as well as manage their time independently. Knowledge of WordPress a plus. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and work with top tier theater, music and dance artists who will participate in the project. The MM reports to Pivot Arts Director.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Social Media experience; Knowledge of WordPress and Canva a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and keep to deadlines in virtual office world

Compensation is $22/hour. Marketing and performance experience a plus.
