Short showings from our incubator program include Jumble of Bones, a new play by Jenni Lamb, that uses movement and puppetry to explore the ways in which we are all bound together on this planet, as well as A Pleasant Come-Across, or A Dozen-or-so New Rags, by Ethan Parcell, an evening length collection of new revisionist ragtime compositions, performed by an instrumental ensemble with a cartoonish commitment to silent-film slapstick and circus antics. Excerpts of works are followed by a discussion with the artists.
Jumble of Bones collaborators: Brad DeFabo Akin (director), Sean Garratt (puppetry director), Flora Bare (movement director); Cast: Allison Cain, Alex Elam, Brandon Rivera, and Isabel Thompson; Movement Ensemble: Kirsten Baity, Shannon Shahinian, and Lydia Jekot; Gianni Carcagno (projector operator)
A Pleasant Come-Across, or A Dozen-or-so New Rags collaborators: Hannah Bureau, Alec Watson, Keenan Foley, Beth McDonald, Jon Rarick, and Nick Meryhew
