Chicago, let’s do this. The Pivot Arts Festival (June 1-11) is a ten-day celebration of innovative performance events that contribute to the vibrancy of the Edgewater and Uptown neighborhoods. So turn off your phone, get off your sofa and come along for the ride. The festival brings people together who may live side by side, or across Chicago, yet never meet. Patrons have the opportunity to connect with one another through unique events such as a wine tasting followed by an Ethiopian dinner and performance of Table Life by Rachel Claff & Chloe Johnston. Did you know that the People’s Revolution is happening June 8th at Uptown Underground? Curated by Tiff Beatty with plenty of spoken word, hip hop and music– it’s going to be hot.

On June 2nd, join us for appetizers and live music at the Growling Rabbit when we toast the festival and then head to a performance of the popular Rough House Theater. Or you can experience site-specific works including the Uptown Arts Crawl and Baseline, which transforms an empty CTA storefront on Argyle into a hip, performance space with local Vietnamese food.

The festival includes multiple opportunities to see exciting performances and to connect with each other, so take advantage of the 3-show pass and FREE events including the Celebrate Community! Parade. 2017 marks our fifth year of the Pivot Arts Festival and we look forward to experiencing innovative and community-building events with YOU.
